NLC Youth

Dear Parents:

We hope to be an influence in the life of your students. However, we know that we aren’t the ONLY influence. In fact, students are only here at church for up to 0.6% of their year. That means that 99.4% of that time they are with someone else. Fortunately, a lot of that time is spent with you, their parents, which means you have a greater influence on your kids than we do. But we want to help! We believe that two combined influences can have a much greater impact than just separate influences. In other words, we are better together. When we are on the same page, pulling in the same direction and saying the same things, imagine what we can do together for your kids.

Top 4 things you need to know

1. When we meet

We currently meet as LifeGroups (small groups) online and in-person. Our online LifeGroup meets every Sunday at 5:00pm. Our in-person LifeGroup meets on Wednesdays at 5:00pm. If you’d like to participate in our in-person LifeGroups, e-mail us at nlcyouth@newlifenc.org

2. What we do

At NLC Youth, we do our best to create environments where students can
Know God
Find Freedom
Discover Purpose
Make a Difference

3. We do LifeGroups

We believe spiritual growth happens best within the context of relationships. That’s why our goal is to connect each student in a healthy LifeGroup where they have a safe place to be themselves, process their doubts and ask questions, get encouragement, and discover how they can apply what they’re learning to their everyday lives.

4. Parents

We believe partnering with parents is the best way to raise a personal faith in the next generation. That’s why we want to partner with you to support the family, provide resources, and answer any questions that you may have. We would love to hear from you! You can reach us at nlcyouth@newlifenc.org

FAQ's

Q. As a parent, what do I do? Do I just drop them off at the front door?

A. Yes, you can just drop them off and we will take good care of them. If it is their first time here, we will connect them with one of our registration volunteers who can walk them through the process and show them around!

Q. How do I get my kids at the end of the night?

A.LifeGroup ends at 7:30PM. You can connect with your student from your car to come outside, or you can come inside and we will help you track them down.

Q. Can I come in and check it out? I’d love to see what my kids are experiencing at NLC Youth!

A. Parents are always welcome at NLC Youth. However, we would ask that you give us a heads up that you’re coming so that we can be prepared for your arrival. You can email us anytime to set it up.

For the safety of our students, we don’t just let anybody and everybody who wants to come hangout at NLC Youth through the doors, so there will be a few security protocols that we will ask you to follow.

That being said, if you like what you see and want to be a part, we would love to have you join our team and serve with us! We are always looking for adults who care about students and can be a positive influence in their lives.
